On the left, under 'My calendars,' point to the calendar you want to share. Step 1: Get the ID of the calendar you want to share. To make changes later, click the name of the calendar, then choose Edit > Get Info. Create an event that shows up on a shared calendar. To prevent alerts from appearing for this calendar, select “Ignore alerts.” To get the calendar’s event attachments or alerts, deselect the appropriate Remove checkboxes.Ĭlick the Auto-refresh pop-up menu, then choose how often to update the calendar. The calendar information is provided by the schools. School calendars include elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and some preschools. The school calendar will be added to your Other calendars list. If you choose On My Mac, the calendar is saved on your computer. When you add a school calendar, youre subscribing to it, which means that your view of the calendar will be kept up to date automatically. If you choose your iCloud account, the calendar is available on all your computers and devices that are set up with iCloud.

In the Calendar app on your Mac, choose File > New Calendar Subscription.Įnter the calendar’s web address, then click Subscribe.Įnter a name for the calendar in the Name field, then click the adjacent pop-up menu and choose a color.Ĭlick the Location pop-up menu, then choose an account for the subscription. If you do this, you can skip step 1, and the calendar’s web address is filled out for you in step 2.
